I have been working at Dallas Independent School District full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Good people to work with, many challenges, if you like to problem solve

Cons

no raise in 3-4 years, urban school district, struggles with student achievement, first year teachers in schools that are rated unacceptable
.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

increase outreach to parent community in secondary grades, kids need more support, provide teachers with a raise, provide teachers with excellent professional development by trained professionals, rather than inhouse training, half of the time.
