    Pros

It's located downtown Dallas right next to the Dart (Train) Station Parking is Cheap at employee lot They people who work there are awesome Its a recognized company name

    Cons

The newspaper advertising industry is declining & sales goals keep getting higher. Your goals are based on your previous quarters performance, so if you exceed your goal, your goal is higher the next quarter, thus helping those who don't make goal make more money. Company focuses more on Salesforce.com usage then actual sales You have homework assignments to turn in They advocate that they are the #1 media source in North Texas but churn is over 80% Every clients gets quoted 10 different prices for the same ad

    Advice to Management

PLEASE stop using third party companies who works out of their grandmothers basement. Stop throwing S**t on the wall hoping it will stick. Launching 25 new products in the last 3yrs and only 3 are still around, ready to launch 25 more. PLEASE make an informed decision. Lastly, It's amazing how you lay off employees daily but from 2009 to 2011 your salaries tripled?

    Pros

Money -- they pay well, if you negotiate well for yourself (no unions here). Smart colleagues. Some really nice people still there, although many are trying to jump ship (or being tossed overboard in layoffs).

    Cons

Poor management -- as a group, they have poor communication skills, worse people skills and tend to adhere to the "Praise in private, criticize in public -- loudly" school of action. Clique-y colleagues. "Segregation" between departments and even between day/night workers is encouraged. Expect layoffs, but expect little to no info about the action until the axe falls. Oh, and they're cutting their health benefits and going to a health savings account only plan in 2012.

    Advice to Management

Examine managers closely. You've got people in charge who can't manage their way out of a paper sack -- and yet, they keep their roles for years and years. Communicate better; become far more transparent. It's the epitome of hypocrisy to have your education reporters hound the local school districts for details of their layoff plans while you remain completely silent on what's ahead for your own company.
