I have been working at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

The majority of the people care about the mission an the patients. There is good entry level opportunity here. Great work - life balance. No evenings and minimum weekend work for a select few. the facilities are amazing and benefits are good.

Cons

Salaries are low to start, and hard to catch up once employeed. With th eincreased work load and small staff, the high performers get great experience but tend to be over worked as the low performers can cruise by.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on employees. Healthcare is one area where twang great people interacting and working with the customers who are our patients

I have been working at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Benefits are decent, pay is acceptable, if you don't have too many expenses.

    Cons

Politically charged atmosphere, Egotistical people abound. Lying, back-stabbing, lack of co-operation among departments and co-workers. Blame game is often played. Co-workers will set up others to create trouble. Lack of communication. Disorganized management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and listen to people when they tell you something is wrong. I am certain that people has been explaining exactly why they are resigning from the company. This could be a great place to work, but will end up with a poor reputation if the situation doesn't change soon.
