Pros

Darigold is a very strong company financially and culturally. There is a lot of excitement and positive energy about the future and a strong focus on a continuous improvement culture and in ensuring the right people are in key roles at all levels. The leadership team provides growth opportunities and reward for hard work and integrity.

Strong emphasis and investment in technology, systems, and controls in all areas of the company. Leadership does a good job of prioritizing projects and directing funds to maximize ROI. There are some really good projects and improvements in the pipeline in support of company growth plans for the next 3 to 5 years.

Excellent benefits and competetive salary
Best 401K plan I have ever had.
Nice internal gym with onsite showers.

Cons

Lunchroom is nice and well equipped (good coffee) but no cafeteria or food services otherwise.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep on rewarding hard work and high integrity. Culture has been heading in the right direction over the past couple of years. Keep it going!

    Pros

Longevity from 1918, veteran employees with 20+ years of service

    Cons

Employees are aloof, several firings, poor quality managers, disengaged employees, poor morale and lack of trust at all levels, executives do not act on important matters rather they just kick the can down the road.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Clean house!

    Pros

Consistency in the divisions. Executives know what needs to be done at each of the divisions, supply chain and the NDA group.

    Cons

Finance and IT are very weak. Leadership wants to be meaningful but is to concerned about fitting in and being liked. A lot of meetings or talk but not much action. Style limits grow of staff unless you agree with the leader of the group. Very little risk taking. Address all the safe things but back down if politics of office are difficult. Leader of group really wants to be liked and needed. Says all the right things but actions do not match. At times you feel like a six year old is this group. Only upside is if you are willing to sell your sole you'll survive. But if you want to learn and grow this is not the organization to be in you should work for one of the other groups. Finance and IT are also more concerned with how important they are than in listening to the plants and sales groups. Dictate to them but don't listen. This comes from the top.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To the chief executive and board. You need to shake up the top leadership of this group.
