Pros

Friendly work environment, opportunities for advancement, and company sponsored health care

Cons

Chronically understaffed, nit -picking and micro -managing managers, disorganized, high turn -over rate for these reasons

    I have been working at Dave & Buster's full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Kitchen is well equipped with modern upgraded appliances and a fairly well thought out cook line. Walk-ins are very roomy for the amount of food being stored. Kitchen knives are sharpened by a professional sharpener service weekly.

    Cons

    Safety violations regarding employee safety are rampant and on the job injuries are common and treated with disdain by management. Employees who report a on the job injury see their work hours cut. Age discrimination is very common. Experienced cooks and chefs are treated as if their experience is worthless. Menu management appears by the recipes produced to be non existent in actual cooking knowledge . Everything comes out of a bag or is contacted out to a jobber.They have a program for growth but use it selectively to promote the lowest paid employees. Several locations are actively engaged in deliberately hiring only Latinos to and forcing out all other races by workplace harassment. Expect bad faith bargaining when you negotiate a position. they don't keep any of the promises they tell you to get you to accept their job offer these experiences are not just my own but the same for all the experienced cooks at the location I worked at (Roseville). The turnover rate is horrible,In an eighteen month period, twelve of the sixteen cooks I worked with quit working for them
