Daycon Products – “OK but not great”

Pros

Daycon offers a decent benefit package and an overall outwardly pleasant work environment. Clean, well lit, spacious, and at least on the surface, a nice place to work.

Cons

Office politics are horrible, and the demands placed on the office staff by the outside salesmen are often unreasonable. Senior management tries to mitigate the politics with mid-management, but frequently fail to make much of a difference. An outwardly pleasant environment can quickly turn toxic. Too many knives pulled out of my back in the time I spent there.

Advice to Senior Management

Don't run the company like its a huge business. 50 mil ain't chicken feed, but it's still a small business according to the SBA. The company had a better working environment when it was a lot more familial. Go back to that model and quit rying to throw your weight around.
