Pros

Easy work, rewarding to help customers, lots of freedom and free time

Cons

Low pay, apathetic coworkers, piling on more tasks, abusive management and owners

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees like people instead of like dirt, stop scapegoating (even in the face of proof) and take responsibility for your own mistakes.

    Pros

    Light work.
    Time to study for college.

    Cons

    Terrible pay with no benefits. No incentive to work hard and many employees slack due to this. Owner treats employees as interchangeable parts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay a livable wage to keep decent employees. Business will be better if you value employees and their time. Trying to squeeze value out of your workers is not good business.

    Some really nice regular guests
    Vacation time is flexible
    Laid back management
    Paid Holidays
    Great centralized location
    Benefits offered at a price

    Cons

    Overpriced health and dental
    No room for advancement
    Pay raises for long term employees
    Not appreciated as an employee
    Hotel is so rundown it makes it hard to sell
    Wacky shift hours for front desk

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you appreciate your long term employees that make your hotel money, which there aren't too many since the turnover rate is rediculous, then show it by giving them a raise for at least the increase in cost of living!
