I have been working at DeVry University full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great tuition benefits - employees get free tuition after working for the company for 6 months.
Good place for people starting their career or finishing their careers

    Cons

    -Struggling industry
    -Very little advancement opportunity
-No vision or direction, constant course correction
-Negotiate well for your starting salary, because once you start, they make it very hard to get an increase. I know people who've been working for years without an increase.
-Company limits internal promotions to a 10% pay increase regardless of the position advancing to
-They favor external hires, and don't promote internally
-Training is non-existent, which is why the prefer to hire from others within the industry
-Employee culture is poor, most of my colleagues are looking for other jobs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on developing employees, and retaining employees. Remove stupid policies that limit promotions, and don't designate positions for external hires.

I worked at DeVry University full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Nice people to work with, decent starting salary, management doesn't make over-reaching promises they can't hold onto

    Cons

Still somewhat telemarketing, ok with overly religious employees, somewhat inflexible schedules. While they are a fairly great employer, there are still some issues they need to shore up.
