I have been working at Dean Foods full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

They promote from within, I have had many opportunities to continue to grow in my time here at Dean Foods. They believe in training and providing stretch opportunities to build new skills.

Cons

Economic conditions have slowed the pace of growth a bit, but still a great place to work. Changes in the organization are impacting morale as possible layoffs loom in the distance.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication is the most important tool in keeping employee morale high.

    I worked at Dean Foods

    Pros

Free milk and ice cream (when the ice cream is not old and stuck to the papers.)

    Cons

This is a Sales Support position, not an Administrative Assistant position as the job description states. Job details on posting and in interview were deceptive. Numbers position - working with and filling in for Inventory Specialist a workaholic - which is what the Sales Dept. is looking for. Highly stressful, not a heathly environment.

I worked at Dean Foods full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Non-management personnel have good work ethic considering how poorly they are treated.

    Cons

Shrinking revenues. Shrinking staff. Illogical use of funds. IT management has a 1 track mind to move to SAP even though the business cannot afford it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

IT management is apathetic to business and personnel needs. They are more interested in making themselves look good at the expense of everyone around them. Self preservation is their main decision making process.
