Defender Direct – “Don't believe the pay hype”

Good crew, great management, lots of knowledge shared from everyone. There is a good sense of overall togetherness and the people I work with are a great team and I truly enjoy the job and the time flexibility. There is ability to make good money but...
Cons
This is where I feel very mislead. I ranked in the top % of the location even though I am rather new. The pay scale is based off of your total amount of jobs (installs), your total amount of sales (which I did pretty well $600+ average), and other factors. This is where I feel very bad but I must say that while at training and during my interview for this job (I turned down 4 other job offers to take this job), I was told that I would be very busy. This is far from the case. I have gone over a week without a job. My last two paychecks (weekly) were under $190.00 dollars each. I can't afford to live off of this amount and I am actively looking for a job elsewhere and I have only been here a short time. It is with great sadness that I have to do so, but I have to be able to pay for the car I drive because I use it daily on my job.
Advice to Senior Management
Do not have your trainers at Corporate tell the techs that they start off "in the middle" of the technician pack when it comes to getting jobs. This is VERY untrue. You have to have completed around 20 installs to be considered "in the middle" of the pack. Hence, now the company has wasted money training on a good tech with great sales ability because I can't afford to make my car payment on time and have to quit.
