Pros

if you have a family, it's hard to find another company who doesn't just accomodate your needs, but dictates a flexible work environment and work life balance. thimbs up for Dell.

Cons

Not the best salary, and internal progression is slow. Far better to arive at the role and salary you want, than to try and work your way through the ranks. Thumbs down.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

A big brand name, it does help. Management is very much approachable. Amazing support

    Cons

Very less options to grow, specially for cross skilled people Management:- Very short sighted. HR is not that helpful as should be Ex employees not treated well, given run around like in govt offices

    Advice to Management

Streamline the growth and learning process. Also, help train people matching to thier background, rather than just training employees randomly

Stagnant growth and poor management make Dell a "has been".

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Good Pay Flexible and Accommodating Work Life Balance Interesting Industry and Product Portfolio "Tell Dell" Survey to Give Direct Feedback to Management

    Cons

Beligerant and Meniacal Focus on Cutting Cost No Travel Budgets to Cover Basic Needs No Promotional Opportunities or Career Growth Unless You Switch To Another Group IT is Horrible for a "Technology" Company

    Advice to Management

Follow through on your decisions and invest some time and money if you believe in what you are doing. Too much cost cutting at the expense of quality and basic operational needs. You can't grow if you don't invest. IT is a joke and systems are extremely poor for a technology company. If you think you can "simplify IT" for the customer, try doing it for yourselves first.
