“Not the place it used to be”
Former Employee – worked at Dell full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – The pay is good. There are ample opportunities to grow and learn new skills. Flexible working hours are available, depending on your responsibilities.
Cons – No job security. Too much politics. Too much focus on cost reduction through work force reduction instead utilizing personnel to drive cost reductions.
Advice to Senior Management – Too many high impacting decisions are made by too few individuals, leading to huge amounts of churn. The targeted cost savings are being squandered by continual re-organizing. Involve more key personnel in high impact decisions to more fully understand the impact of those actions.
