    Pros

Dell provides all its employees with equal opportunities to grow, the company culture fosters camaraderie and transparency.

    Cons

Some very basic employee benefits are cut citing issues like recession, thing which matter to the mid level staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ensure that your front line staff is taken care of, they are the voice and face of the company. If they are not happy, it will reflect it their attitude towards work.

Current Employee - Marketing Director in Dublin, Dublin (Ireland)

I have been working at Dell full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of great people to work with and learn by
    Solid strategy and focused leadership
    International exposure

    Cons

HQ in Texas means more difficult to get top jobs when internationally based
Unfortunately politics is building-up, so work your relationship and learn how to manage-up

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop an indipendent talent development function, today too much is left to business units
Seek talent from within, there is a lot and it's easier to promote than to hire
