I have been working at Dell full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Plenty of training if one avails of it and the company has a good vision of where it wants to go and the staff that embrace it will be all the better for it in time.

Cons

Salaries are low compared to others in the same industry and going through a lot of change so some of the management are out of their depth and don’t really understand the solutions selling model that Dell are in the process of developing over the next 18 months. It will take some time but they are back filling skill set gaps with good training if the staff that are there a while take it on board

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the staff that management are taking into the company to assist. as with a lot of companies where there is a lot of change sometimes the management that are there for a long time tend to circle the wagons and ignore people with the knowledge to assist them

    depend on type of work, u will get satisfactions.

    bad now with respect to Perot systems.

    I have been working at Dell full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Extensive training and learning resources provided. New initiatives rolled out even though some don't last very long due to lack of implementation resources.

    Cons

    A lot of uncertainty currently, hiring freezes, favoritisms all play a role on reducing morale. Frequent problems with certain working resources making getting the job done more difficult.

    More transparency for immediate management
