I have been working at Dell full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Having worked here for over 10 years, I have been happy for the most part. Some of the pros include good pay, good benefits, and good career prospects in the organization.

    Cons

Some of the issues I have had are due to the company being too big, where sometimes organizational direction is not very well communicated down the food chain.

  2.

Great to work for, lower than average pay, but lower than average workload

Current Employee - Engineer in Round Rock, TX

I have been working at Dell full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great place to work. Granted, you wont make as much as competitors, however with most positions you get to "leave" at the end of the day and not take your work home. Stick with the non-salary positions.

    Cons

Some things are political. It seems there are "silly" policies in place which are brought in by 3rd parties, but this is normal for any large company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees, Any idea to improve something should be passed up to the higher ups no matter what the lower level management thinks. Unconventional ways of thinking are often the key to staying ahead in this industry.
