Current Employee – been working at Dell full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great management, who are driven to make the company succeed while also balancing the needs of the employees.
Resources are always made available when needed, given sufficient justification (sometimes you have to make do, but this is life).
Great opportunities internally, as the company is more like a collection of organisations rather than one monolithic entity.
Great perks including relatively decent food, nice coffee bars and a good sense of work life balance.
Great attitude towards working with the local community, with lots of drives to participate in charity work.
Good attitude towards family life, as when problems crop up at home, time off (within reason, of course) is allowed.
Cons – Micromanagement can be a problem in certain departments.
While bonuses are very good, base pay is a little low for the average,
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work and keep Dell a good place to work.
Some middle management can get too much of a free reign with their team at times, given the large size of the organisation.
