I worked at Dell full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The corporate culture supports and encourages fast paced learning. It will force even the most skilled communicator to challenge and grow in their ability to lead and manage change. With Dell now a private company I have no doubt that they will reinvent their organization as planned.

    Cons

The challenges of short wins and aggressive sales goals can be uncomfortable if you prefer predictable assignments and clear objectives. If you don't like ambiguity, don't apply. It is part of your evaluation and it is not joke, so make sure you can handle that type of environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As Dell goes through this transformation, don't lose the work life balance and collegiate environment that sets dell apart. There are few global companies that can accelerate someone’s career and stage them for success in most other organizations.
