Cons

I love the firm. I would say I had a really good experience working here. People are really friendly and the working hours are good and flexible. I don't have any cons to provide.

    Pros

A lot of companies say that you can be entrepreneurial but here you actually can be. The company offers a lot of different types of opportunities for those willing to invest in carving out a path. If you're smart, have a good work ethic and produce work from whatever it is that drives you, you'll have a future for as long as you want one.

The client roster is about as varied as you can get spanning every vertical. The ability to express interest and get onto a client is an aspect that isn't to be overlooked. Many companies you can find yourself in a 'fixed' position where it's difficult to traverse from client to client but here you can.

Aside from your day to day client work, the benefits are as generous as the offer packages. You can expect very good selections from your usual suspects: health and life insurance, retirement, etc but the additional secondary benefits like legal services, a cell phone, corporate card etc are not to be ignored.

    Cons

I would put it like this: You find a great band. They're young, hungry, great energy, they have an edge and they don't give a ****. Then all of a sudden, they start getting popular. The music they write and play is really hitting people and they start to get a big following. Then comes the huge record deal. They now have the stage they've wanted since they started and they start to make it big. The first wave of fans start murmuring about selling out and how they've changed. Red Hot Chili Peppers anyone?

Depending on who you are and how you see things will determine whether it's a pro or a con to work here. Did the band sellout or did they just do what they set out to do? Either answer is absolutely fine, neither is wrong, but philosophically one of them is if you want to work here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ubermind was great. Its legacy persists but in the wrong way: Email accounts, sites, email signatures and the signage on the actual building live on. This sends a mixed message.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good pay, benefits, 25 days off, various corporate perks. Senior engineering department is strong.

    Cons

    - Projects led by managers with little/no background in creative or digital work. Most come from suit & tie consulting backgrounds and have no idea what they're selling to clients

    - National creative director implementing "design then ship to India" for cheap engineering at Mumbai office

    - Projects selected on meeting profit margins rather than healthy, stimulating challenges

    - Recruitment blatantly hiring for numbers, not quality of employees

    - Observed many people leave out of boredom (sit on the bench for months) or pure frustration (not doing work they were told in interview)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring subpar talent & management. You're bleeding quality people because you're not giving people quality projects to grow on. Setting career goals as a mobile engineer (and other disciplines) is seemingly pointless because you're forcing people to work on HTML/front-end work and not bringing in mobile projects.
