Pros

Great, collaborative people and competitive post-MBA pay. Opportunities for career advancement when you're networked correctly.

Cons

Long hours, sometimes at the mercy of clients with senior leaders who don't push back/scope appropriately, clique-y environments in certain regions/offices. Compensation not tied closely to promotions or levels (no significant bumps when promoted).

Invest in development as the individual level - actually listen to what individual employees want

    Pros

    - Good mentors (Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager, and Senior Manager level) that show patience to coach you
    - Leadership that allows you the space to make mistakes and learn
    - Opportunity to work with some amazing and talented people
    - Get to work on high-profile clients and projects

    Cons

    - Poor management of the Green Card process that can cause tremendous hardship for the employee during their time at the firm, or for years after they've left Deloitte
    - Easy for an employee to get pigeonholed, which could potentially limit opportunity for professional growth and reaching full potential

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Deloitte should switch to a more competent immigration counsel and set up systematic checks to ensure that an employee's Green Card process is handled in a timely and competent manner while setting appropriate expectations; poor management of Green Card sponsorship can have a long-lasting and severe impact on the employee
    - Recognize employee strengths based on their educational background and allow them to develop those strengths into a value-adding asset for the firm
