Current Employee – been working at Deloitte

Pros – As someone who has been with Deloitte for over 13 years, I have to say the best thing about it are the people. Top to bottom, Deloitte is blessed with some amazing and fun professionals and partners. The firm is generous on the time off they give us - and the expectation we'll take that time. They are also very flexible on the work/life front. We have staff spread all over the country and some work 100 percent from home. Very few workplaces encourage that. Deloitte is the exception.

Cons – Sad to say, but the people and politics. Just as we're stocked with great people, we also have some snakes. Some people clearly are in their jobs for reasons other than competence. But it's still a much lower number than anywhere I've ever worked. Another problem is how the businesses operate. Some silos are very difficult to crack - and our systems could use some serious overhauling.

Advice to Senior Management – Morale is very bad right now - not sure what you can do. The highest performers are great but you're forgetting the 80 percent of the remaining people.
