Pros

There are very few good reasons to work for Delphi at this time. In the past, this was a great company. Now, Delphi is unable to compete and has no clear direction.

Cons

Management thinks very tactically and has bery little regard for the longterm growth of the company. There are little to no career advancement opportunities or salary advancement opportunities. There is no communication from management on the directino of the company. Overall very poor place to work.

Advice to Management

There needs to be a complete overhaul of senior management both at the corporate and divisional level. They need to bring in experienced managers from the outside who know how to make a business succeed. The current management still has a very GM mentality and is unable to compete or learn how to compete in the current marketplace.

    Pros

Delphi has an outstanding pay and benefits package

    Cons

Delphi is shrinking and the opportunities for career advancement and professional growth are very limited. Management has very little respect for engineers and does not invest in expanding the knowledge of the engineers. Therefore, the ideas tend to be stale and reused.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to invest more in its people, both hourly and salaried.

    Pros

Delphi is a good place for interns. They have a programs where you live and have social events with the other interns. You also have weekly meetings with all of the other interns where they have upper management talk to you. The work depends on your supervisor. The summer project I was given was interesting and when looking for full time job other companies have been impressed by my work there.

    Cons

The stability of t he company led me away from taking a full time position there.

    Advice to Management

Work on becoming diversified away from GM.
