Chapter 11, too much like GM, slow to react to the market, treats retirees very poorly, too much overhead cost to be competitive.
Their matrix organization makes it quite difficult to see who you work for; way too many "bosses".

Advice to Senior Management

Get out of your offices and conference rooms; have a good look around and communicate (not just chat) with people in the trenches. Shut down the political environment (we've enough of that in Washington, DC) and can the special interests. Practice what you preach with all of the Excellence attributes, not just those that seem convenient at the moment.
