Pros

Many good people work ther

Cons

Big layoff after merger with Northwest Airlines.

Advice to Management

Try and get to know the former Northwest Airlines employees. Don't just layoff people who were originally not with Delta.

    Pros

The flight benefits are very good.

    Cons

Working at a Non-Union airline always has you wondering when the Ax is going to fall. There are no job protections, seniority is enforced when Delta decides to enforce it when it benefits them. The Health insurance gets worse and worse each year since Delta has total power with a Take it or Leave it attitude. Although a union is far from perfect, the advantages of having a union contract protect you is priceless. Talk about being part of the Delta family is a running joke in our breakroom,

    Advice to Management

Stop micro managing, especially when most of the Performance Leaders (Managers) know less than the employees they are supervising. Let the employees have input on safety and procedures on the ramp. The way we are bringing planes in now is borderline ridiculous. It takes 5 minutes to even Chock the plane. These procedures were obviously made from a non ramper, who lives in a cubicle in Atanta. It looks good on a computer, but reality is a totally different thing.
