Pros

Employees are engaged and for the most part, love their jobs. I had the luxury of touching a variety of projects, lots of variety. Great friendships. Exposure to new and exciting things in a growing industry.

Cons

Sales and marketing not always on same page. Product to market process is very slow. As with any other job, some bad managers, many good ones.

    Pros

    Great pay
    Management focused on reinventing the company
    Seem focused on creating more employee growth opportunities
    Making very smart investments in marketing
    Very focused on emerging stronger despite a declining check marketplace

    Cons

    Average to below average benefits
    Still really silo'd business, not just between divisions but within divisions
    Focused too much on promoting the SB side to the detriment of the FS side
    Layoffs, even in 2012

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The layoffs HAVE to stop, its going to hurt your ability to get the best talent. Seems like the company should be in a good place to move on from here and build out a great team with the base. Continue to invest in marketing, the very best realize the value marketing brings to an organization. Keep empowering employees.

    Pros

    Good comp plan. Everyone who's not in management is fun to work with.

    Cons

    Meetings meetings meetings and more meetings. Spend more time in the conference room than you do actually on the phones making sales. Have a new manager that was given the position because of his friendship with the sales director.
    They have your entire day mapped out via your calendar. Seems like they don't trust their sales reps to manage their time properly. Company had a record month, and instead of giving credit to reps, they create more meetings and add new technology that is supposed to help us manage our time better.
    The back end is terrible. The product rarely does what is promised to clients. Constant billing issues that sales reps are responsible to fix. Customer service calls are routed to sales reps. Not sure if there is actually a real customer service department.
    The current supervisor comes from a call center background and is turning this office into that. Management has 0 experience in outbound dialing and prospecting.

    Quit and let qualified people have your positions.
