Aggressively entrepreneurial IT Services from a long-successful VAR

I worked at Denali Advanced Integration full-time (more than an year)

Pros

SERIOUSLY entrepreneurial - tons of flexibility: build whatever you think will work
Huge focus on customer service
Well-established culture of "customer as partner"
Actively give back to the community
Work from wherever you are (lots of time at customer sites, but also flexible about home/remote)

Cons

Entrepeneurial approach can be a little fractious, willfully chaotic
"Work from wherever you are" piece can mean: If you need to spend time face-to-face with coworkers to feel connected, may not happen all the time or in all roles

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes you have to sacrifice a bit of short-term control, in order to achieve your long-term growth plans

There were heavily misrepresented job duties, but the pay was good and my managers were fair.

    Pros

There was reliable contract work and the pay was good.

    Cons

There were limited opportunities for advancements and the job description/duties were *very* different from what I was actually asked to do.

I worked at Denali Advanced Integration full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Gained lots of experience to put on my resume

    Cons

I was given a pay rate for a job, then I was switched to a different role that should have paid more, but was kept at the same pay rate.
Nepotism runs rampant in the company - most of the people are related to someone else or worked together previously. You truly need to know someone to get ahead.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It should be about your qualifications, not who you know or who you used to babysit.
