Great while it was growing. The company made some basic mistakes and was forced to close the NJ plant.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Dendreon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was alright job, it is in a manufacturing facility, so essentially you are doing cell process work. Work is repetitive, not really much thinking involved

    Cons

not really fun, and tedious work. alright management team. I don't see a bright future with the compnany.

I worked at Dendreon (Less than a year)

    Pros

Generous salary and benefits, including severance packages Powerful new technology Great product. I truly believe it has/will change the face of oncology.

    Cons

New and naive Grew to fast because they were optimistic to a fault. Quadrupled their size in anticipation of sales. But didn't know how to market their drug, then had to lay off more than half of staff and close a facility.

    Advice to Management

Really need to analyze situations better. A great product doesn't necessarily mean success. No drug can sell itself. Need experience and infrastructure rather than big ideas. Don't lose sight of the values that made Dendreon great. Need to balance the new with the old.
