Overworked Underpaid!

Current Employee - Patient Relations Coordinator  in  Houston, TX
Current Employee - Patient Relations Coordinator in Houston, TX

Pros

Hiring/Training for those without Dental experience.

Cons

The company hires office leaders and managers with little or no dental experience and overpays them.recruiters don't consider the what it really takes to put a good office team together. Horrible homemade web based practice management system. The company hires too many uneducated former retail managers. Extremely "reports"driven. They are beginning to show all signs of the dental chain that they are. many dentist complain about the company and lots of turn over across the company- everyone from dentists to regional managers are jumping ship! No room for growth unless you have managed a Wal-Mart or Target!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay should match skills! 1-2% raises? What an insult!

Former Employee - Floating Office Leader/Office Leader in DFW, TX

    Pros

The customers. Other than that, there isn't one with the company

    Cons

Pay is a joke. They work floating office leaders like a temp agency. Once an Office Leader it is all about selling when you are barely staffed to run the office. It is a clique in Dallas at the SLO and above level. HR is no help. Don't expect to bonus hardly ever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at turnover. You will never get the team to work together in 2 different offices. Pay the Office Leaders more than 50K and revamp the SLO structure.

Former Employee - R D A Registered Dental Assistant in Dallas, TX

    Pros

The only good thing about Dental One Partners is that you will have nights and weekends off.

    Cons

Facilities are dirty, run-down, un-sterile, not in OSHA or HIPPA guidelines, low pay, no growth opportunities, 3-12 cent raises

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Obtain staff that's professional, willing to pay for good employees, & that promotes service of excellence at all times.
