Senior management at the call center blows.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have written objectives that are quantifiable. Mentors are not trainers, they need something written down to go off of to. Providing us with mentors and then telling us that we were not getting it was wrong. You did not sit with us and evaluate us.... Train us on things that matter, not just the system.

I worked at Denver Water part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good compensation, benefits and training. Job security.

    Cons

Kind of a "good old boys" club. It definitely helps to know someone. Staff seems more concerned with following established policies and procedures than trying to improve. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Generally a conservative atmosphere which can be expected since it is a public utility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Foster and allow new ideas and solutions.
