Pros

There are no Pro's to working for this company!

Cons

Upper management is in disarray. They focus on unimportant things while leaving the imprtant matters like actually selling and driving business to the wayside.

Advice to Management

Change your focus, show loyalty to your employees, listen to what they have to say. Go back to caring about the "99%", not just the "1%", which is what you are trying to do now. Work on being profitable through driving business, so you won't be compelled to come up with excuses for firing long term employees.

    Pros

You get to work with mostly smart and fun people. The job allows for everyday opportunities to be creative and troubleshoot, so it doesn't get boring. Training in specialized areas of clothing is mandatory. You will gain skills that will make you more marketable in the clothing field and will refine your selling techniques. At the end of the day you do get to help people feel better about themselves and be more confident because they know they are dressed well.

    Cons

Goals are unrealistically high, and when goals are met they are just raised even higher. The demands for performance are relentless and can be stressful. Company can be micromanaging. The rules change or are "updated" too frequently. A lot of internal material is expected to be memorized and rattled off on command, but the pay does not generally match the level of commitment that is expected from employees. Full-time hours are not an option unless you are a store manager or assistant manager.

    Advice to Management

Trust the people you have so rigorously selected to actually know what they are doing. Allow for more individual discretion when it comes to dealing with the guests. Stop driving your people to hound the guests and force them into shopping experiences they do not necessarily want or need. Show more respect for the guests requests to "just look" without badgering them.
