I have been working at Diageo full-time

    Pros

    - development opportunities
    - brands
    - social and corporate citizenship agenda
    - benefits
    - freedom to be yourself

    Cons

    - slow decision making
    - different scale of measure for ranking employees in different parts of the business
    - unwillingness to take risks, sometimes no matter how small they are

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

On the beer business, more risks need to be taken to succeed. Diageo seems to always be following somebody else rather than taking the lead

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
  2.

Great place to work if you are prepared to take the lead. Tendency to focus on good, not CI

I have been working at Diageo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Great people. Great brands.
Company values are outstanding. Integrity, community and people support are high on the agenda.
Great opportunities to progress if you are prepared to lead

    Cons

Tendency to always look for the good, rather than balance with objective continuous improvement opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

"Sandwich". Always recognise achievements, then think of the next level improvement, then congratulate teams on jobs well done. Balance Continuous Improvement opportunities with support and recognition.
