I have been working at Diageo

Pros

Have lot of small perks like traveling on business, lots of booze, can drink at work, some people are nice to work with.
Bonus is huge

Cons

Too much hierarchy
Not many smart people around, mediocre performing people, unmarketable outside, stick with the company for long time leading to lot of internal politics.
No work life balance
No vertical career growth, most of the movement is lateral

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Act on value surveys not just read them.

    Brands are strong and profitable, strong job security if you continue to work hard, good benefits and work life balance

    Cons

    Pay scale for job is below market value, redundancy of inefficient processes; lack of support from stakeholders on key issues

    Value your people for what they bring to the organization instead of how much you like them as a person

    Pros

    1> It is fun to work here, have high amount of budget for the team to go out and have fun.
    2> Salary is very competitive and bonus is good

    Cons

    1> Matrix organization, every decision involves several stakeholders resulting in slowing projects, not at all process oriented.
    2> Leadership has hidden agendas
    3> No training or personal development
    4> Under resourced/ No work life balance

    Need to listen to employees more, not just do survey and not act on it.
