Not a bad company to work for if you're flexible.

Paducah, KY

Former Employee – worked at Dick's Sporting Goods full-time for more than a year

ProsFair pay for retail. Good discount through vendors. All associates treated pretty equally. Nice benefits if you qualified for them.

ConsThe schedule was constantly changing at the last minute. Communication from management down was completely lacking and often times people got written up for things they had never been trained on. Most often things didn't get done on time or incorrectly because payroll had to be cut and there simply wasn't enough time to both satisfy customers and work on tasks. Just like most retail- it was a gossip mill.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake more time for training and making sure things get communicated properly. If you want a satisfied customer base it's probably not a bad idea to have a staff dedicated to just tasking and a staff dedicated to just selling.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
