Pros

Digi is a technically challenging casual work environment. You regularly get to work with new technologies and develop new products. All this without a micro manager looming over your shoulder. It is really the best of both worlds. Education and training is promoted from corporate. The benefits here are better than normal.

Cons

Like all fast paced engineering groups, project planning could be better. More often than not, the project starts with no specifications and documentation is put off until the very last minute. As always, this bites you in the butt. More time upfront would alleviate many of the problems during development.

Advice to Senior Management

Plan your projects better. Get specs up front and avoid feature creep. Documentation actually HELPs and is not entirely evil.
