I have been working at Digitas as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Ping pong on the 6th floor and free food almost daily. They also host company-sanctioned flip-cup tournaments and there's always lots of free alcohol.

    Cons

The elevators take forever. It's on Park Ave btw 25th/26th so food options tend to be a bit on the pricey side.

I worked at Digitas full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Accessible VP, SVP and C level managers who are fairly down to earth. The agency really focuses on fostering a sense of 'together-ness' through events like recess and community service day. External offices work well in concert with one another. Agency has a very strong sense of self and how it fits into the digital advertising world.

    Cons

One can pick up some very bad habits here as there is no methodology instilled in staff. The left hand often isn't aware of what the right hand is doing though this is par for the course with agencies but here it is pronounced. Upper management are not particularly well skilled, i.e. don't have the awards not the exposure to high profile, high stress projects and have been at the agency for ages. As as result, upward mobility is truncated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the army of VPs who often aren't managers nor have anyone to manage and work on adapting to having the best the brightest rise to the top rather than promote those that are clearly not ready to manage.
