I have been working at Dignity Health as a contractor (more than 10 years)

Pros

If you can stick up for what is right as far as salary, you will be sucessful. Lots of good people work here. Many for years like myself. Finally investing in IT.

Cons

Your body is owned by the company. They have mandated everyone get injected with a drug with know carcinogens. Yearly flu vaccine is now mandatory or you are fired. If you don't mind and of the possible side effects or adverse reactions or unknown how your fertility will be affected then apply. Free advice: always be aware of package inserts on the medications you take or will be forced to take. Who know what drug they will mandate you to take next. This is the opening to a flood gate. Oops I forgot about the mandatory time off the made all exempt employees take. Forced to use 48hrs of PTO in august, management gave less than 48 hrs notice to those affected.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be educted on the yearly flu vaccine. Is 20 to 50 % effectiveness against all strains of flu really worth the harm you could potentially cause? You can't force you patients to get the vaccine but you are going to force your employees???

I have been working at Dignity Health part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Union representation(SEIU), hard-working staff/management in some departments, fast-paced and modern building.

    Cons

Non-profit to corporate. Quality of care has significantly dropped, secondary departments such as janitorial, maintenance, kitchen and volunteer staff has dropped in staffing and by extension results in patchwork results and rushed work, bordering on offensive across the board. Seems to be attempting to appear as if only it's name changed. A rather sad decline from old standards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do something besides unfair busting of union.
