I have been working at Dignity Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Dignity Health is a mission-driven company with many talented, caring people who really do want to make a difference. Dignity Health is the catalyst and encourages its employees to share their unique talents.

    Cons

Complex healthcare environment; sometimes seen as too risk-averse (it this environment, that could also be seen as a Pro, not a Con)

    Advice to Management

Keep sharing the "hello humankindness" vision. It's catching on, both at Dignity Health and beyond.

I have been working at Dignity Health part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of encouragement and opportunities for further development and movement laterally or up within the hospitals within our local network. I have had great directors, moved to different areas in the hospital when encouraged to move up.

    Cons

Several departments within the hospital blame other departments and can be verbal about it. Better choice would be to go to your director, however, not all directors may be empathetic (ie ancillary departments), Nursing as a whole has a better working relationship within their different areas.

    Advice to Management

Stay visible and do rounds within the departments ( especially senior CEO, VP's, etc.) Even showing up once a week can completely raise moral. I have heard complaints about this from departments. Even just spending an hour or 2 once a week can prevent future problems or unwarranted complaints.
