    Pros

    Store discounts
    People at work are great

Let's go ahead with the cons...
    Technology is from the 80s.

    Cons

No training! They just throw you in there and expect you to figure it out... when you're dealing with all of their dollars!
Many times the buyer & the assistant haven't a clue what's going on because of the high turnover. People in the office refer it to a "revolving door" with the people in and out.
Vacation is pretty terrible. Holiday.. nonexistent. ONE day for Christmas. One day for thanksgiving. Labor day but not memorial day. Expected to work in stores every saturday christmas-thanksgiving plus black friday AND CHRISTMAS EVE! This isn't supposed to be a retail hour job! Not to mention no compensation for all these days in the store!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your PEOPLE and your technology for your people to work with!

    Pros

If you are in between jobs or looking for part time work. It's ok.

    Cons

There is very little and in my case no training. Every store and company is different no matter what your background is.... everyone needs some training and coaching. Olympic athletes have to train every day right?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

make your self work "on the floor" in the sales associates and dock workers place for 3 full days. And on the busiest days. Then make your decisions on how you are going to give direction. The store managers seem to have no people skills and don't talk to associates. When they do they seem to talk down to you. I've heard many associates say the store manager is an idiot. I've worked at 3 different stores with 3 different managers and there are very similar characteristics. It's like they send them to "jackass" school.
