The social aspect. You get to know other co-workers and they become like a "work-family"
Cons
You must maintain a quota of sales. People selling shoes made commission, but none of the other departments did. If you are fortunate enough to sell more expensive items such as handbags, your quota will always be up to par. Other departments struggle to make their sales goals. The training program is long and intensive. You must work in every department for training.
Advice to Senior Management
I would ask that they revise their quota system so that each department is able to reach their sales goals. People selling more expensive and popular items have an advantage.
