I worked at Dillard's full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

easy job, decent pay, easy to get raises

Cons

upper management wants you to be a robot. looking back the job was easy but should never be a first job for anyone. or a job for anyone who wants to focus on family and their own life goals. its a job to make money and that is all.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

go spend some time with your family. you don't need to be in the store on your day off.

Doesn't Recommend
Negative Outlook
Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Dillard's full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I was lucky and had a great hands on management crew who were visible and spent time coaching us. Environment was pleasant except Christmas when everybody was stressed

    Cons

Nights, holidays, weekends... Gotta love retail. Customers these days are pretty rude and talk down to you

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I wish floor plans and color schemes didn't have to be so rigid and department/area managers could exercise some of there own creativity.
