I worked at Dillard's full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Good entry level pay, somewhat flexible schedule, discounts.

Cons

Pressure to make sales, long hours. I worked 55 plus hours a week in my department, Bc they claimed they couldn't find anyone to with the qualifications needed. How hard is it to sell shoes?

    I worked at Dillard's full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There is always something to do, time flies by fast

    Cons

Repeated pattern of disrespect between employees and management. Sales associates are on Sales Per Hour Program and are expectations are very high. Managers are not trained to deal with issues properly, or handle associate issues. There is no human resources. Associates must sign waivers not to sue before being hired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to learn how to treat associates with more respect. Divisional and senior management promote "the best customer care anywhere" yet won't even look at associates when they come to visit.
