I have been working at Dillard's full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Great pay for retail, lots of contests and selling bonuses throughout the year.

Cons

Management doesn't like to work with life outside of the store. Not very good at keeping employees because of managements attitudes.

    I have been working at Dillard's full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    They do start off pay at a higher pay than other stores

    Cons

    They constantly promise promotions and pay raises and then pass on them. They expect you to great and assist every customer but at the same time you are expected to do your own merchandising, markdowns, departmental moves and clean up after all the customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make the sales goals reachable and change them depending on the time of year and the economy, employees can not make an SPH of 135 when only 5 customers a day enter the store.

    At the time i was employed there they were having huge loss prevention issues with management it made it hard to judge

    Pros

    Room for growth, benefits and pay was great, management trusted in and relied in strong associates...customers were great and loyal

    Cons

    Theft through out the store by management made it hard to trust them, pay cuts when goals were not meet, felt like the strong associates were running the store for the management but was not getting the recognition for it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Really value and grow you're strong employees, i want even looking for work and a manager recruited me and guided me to the top
