I have been working at Dillard's full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Higher starting pay for retail companies, flexible schedule, good co-workers depending on location

Cons

Management more concerned with sales than individual progress. Management plays favorites to higher sellers.

Advice to Management

Focus on individual progress of employees, I think more one on one meetings with employees would be beneficial

    I worked at Dillard's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Dillard's pays well compared to other retail sales associate positions. The hours they give to sales associates also don't flex like others do so you are guaranteed however many hours you were told you would get when hired.

    Cons

Sales associates are very competitive with each other. No one wants to work as a team. It's a every man for himself, dog-eat dog atmosphere. Associates steal sales from others even after confrontation. Management thinks this type of issue is funny.

    Advice to Management

If everyone was working as a team, but still working towards goals, you'd make more money all together. Associates are so worried about getting certain sales from other people's efforts that they aren't putting forth much on their own. When an associate comes to you about an issue like this- do something about it.
