I have been working at Discovery Communications full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Excellent Benefits. Pay not comparable to freelance work, but benefits compensate. Highly inclusive environment, very creative, excellent management across the board.

    Cons

When networks don't perform according to expectation, there's very little support or encouragement given - it's either silence, or simply layoffs. It's the nature of the business. Be prepared to work hard, but you need to remain creatively fresh or you're toast.
