Disney Parks & Resorts – “Disney would be a "great" place to work if management listened and the pay was adequate.”

Pros

The guest are fantastic and varied. The resort is a fun place to work and interact with the guests.

Cons

The pay is awful and the management is not very professional. They seem to be promoted from within and many managers do not have the skill set to manage others. Having been a senior manager in the past, I am familiar what talent is necessary to motivate and encourage others. It is not always present at Disney. The communication for work well done and for evaluation is not given consistently.

Advice to Senior Management

Please create an environment where it is safe for cast members to share their concerns and ideas for improvement. Most cast members are positive about working at Disney and have good suggestions for improvements in processes. Also give feedback on performance on a consistent basis and keep it positive.
