Disney Parks & Resorts – “Huge company; little communication.”
4 of 4 people found this helpfulPros
Very skilled and professional work team. Comprehensive benefits package, but not exceptional as in years past. Many intrinsic benefits such as theme park admissions, t-shirts given away, occasional previews of new attractions.
Cons
Below Manager level, little communication. Many, many secret meetings. There is a culture of enforce positive attitude that encourages insincerity. Benefits are eroding steadily and pay is stagnant. Executives are given VIP perks and fawned upon by many Managers. Use of different color ID cards makes unnecessary distinction between hourly and salaried workers.
Advice to Senior Management
Fewer execs. More communication at all levels. Restore benefits as they were in the 90's; Disney is no longer a leader in this area.
