Disney Parks & Resorts – “If you must work for a conglomerate, you won't do better than Disney.”

Pros

It's Disney World, very unique product, everyone is friendly and everyone is good natured for the most part. You get some once in a lifetime opportunities and there is a strong belief in the company's principles among the employees.

Cons

It is a big fortune 500 company and has the red tape to go with it. The dress code and guidelines are restrictive and way too conservative. Lot's of folks drink the kool-aid and are sheep behind corporate mottos and suffer from group think. WDI is treated way better than the Disney Parks & Resorts in terms of perks and dress code; for a company that tries to make everything fair it is glaring how much better employees at this divison have it compared to the finance people on the otherside of the table.

Advice to Senior Management

Don't have analyses run, then get recommendations from your subordinates, and then end up doing what you want to do anyway. Or better yet, have the analyses run or filtered until it tells you what you want to hear.
