I have been working at Disney Parks & Resorts full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Endless possibilities for networking and moving around within the same company, Disney, ABC, ESPN, etc. - all with the same 401K!

The majority of people who work for Disney are very nice and some are willing to help you make connections and realize your true passion, even if it means moving to a different area.

Employees often have exposure to many different areas and are able to make several lasting connections.

This company is very much relationship based, it's not who you know, it's who knows you.

Cons

Base pay is typically lower than other companies - most likely because everyone wants to work here, so they do not need to have a competitive salary with other less desirable companies.

Many Cast Members have worked for the company for several years - decades in some cases. This is a good thing to show that the company is a desirable place to work, but many of these people do not embrace change.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage Cast to seek and embrace change and continuous improvement.

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

There is a really dynamic and enjoyable atmosphere, very diverse people, from different background and countries, really nice atmosphere in the housing.

    Cons

The experience as international college program is overall really good, however as a part-time or full-time job, it is not well paid.

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Working at Disney was one of the best experiences of my life. It was great to see what happens behind the scenes and to be a part of the magic that happens every day.

    Cons

The worst part about the Internship program is that, at the time, many interns thought they were treated as slaves, working manual jobs for minimum wage. I disagree, but can easily see why someone would feel this way.
