I worked at Disney Store part-time (more than a year)

Pros

You have the opportunity to be a part of the Disney magic for guests of all ages. There are fun in-store events and you are never told to be aggressive in your sales techniques.

Cons

Difficult to move up. Employees stay for a very long time so in order to become a store manager, you'd have to wait for someone to retire.

I worked at Disney Store part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Free tickets to the park, discounts on merchandise, discounts at the hotels and other places. Great team to work with! The other cast members and management at this store are wonderful and a joy to work with/for. Magic is always in the air :)

    Cons

The call in shifts are crazy. Half your shifts are "call in" shifts... you have to keep these days open just in case and most of the time you're not used for them so the day is wasted that you could have made plans.

I have been working at Disney Store full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Building teams and partnerships. Great Benefits.

    Cons

Heavy traffic on the day Festival of Lights was immensely heavy. No matter how many associates we had on the floor the Customer/Associate ratio was terrible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always stay ahead of the game on hiring needs. Partner with your surrounding stores. At my store we held quarterly meetings with other stores for Holiday and Back to School needs.
