Pros

The salary levels are OK but there is not much else positive to say currently

Cons

The management style is brutal. There is zero consideration to your life/work balance.
Your views are neither invitied or respected. Team members are openly berrated infront of the rest of the staff. The working atmosphere is very poor. My advice? If you work there - get out!
If you are thinking about working there - don't!

Advice to Management

There needs to be less focus on clever systems, processes and fancy store layouts and more focus on getting the basics right: right product, right quanitiy at the right price in the right place at the right time.

    Pros

The business is not just tweaking, it's a true turnaround. Some of the top people in UK retail are there so the opportunity to work with the best turning the business around is unique.

    Cons

The company has a very poor attitude to personal development and has a weak talent management process. Needs to recognise the hard work of the workforce.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget that the business is built on the strength and passion of its people. Whilst everybody is energised by the variety and exciting work, the business needs find better ways to recognise this.

  2. So sad, it use to be a good place to work

    Pros

Nationally known company, Decent opportunites to progress within company if you want to, Flexible working in different parts of the company.

    Cons

Pay for lower ranks is poor.
Middle Management are clueless and change too often.
Will not listen to experienced staff opinions

    Advice to Management

It could be so much better in many ways. Shop floor staff are poorly paid and motivation is done by clueless Managers with a like it or lump it attitude. In turn this leads to a very poor customer experience.
