I have been working at Dollar Bank part-time (more than an year)

Pros

-Very low pressure to meet quotas or minimums
-Tuition reimbursement and gym reimbursement for part-timers
-Very involved in the community

Cons

-Pay is less than equal positions at other banks
-Turnover seems to be high
-Back office tends to play favorites in promotions

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would start by allowing your front-line employees to make suggestions that you actually follow up on. There are many provisions that were clearly thought of by someone who has never worked inside the actual branch and only make things worse. If you want ways to improve the system ask the people who use it! I'd also start by making your promotions and transfers a little more fair. Its pretty obvious that there is favoritism in the bank and everyone can see it. Not a very good way to encourage employees to go above and beyond if they're not likely to be recognized for it.

I have been working at Dollar Bank full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There is job security. The benefits are great. The company focuses more on customer service than pushing products. Dollar bank has great reputation in the financial industry. Intense training classes.

    Cons

There are no bonus incentives and the salary is lower than what you would find at a larger institution. The training program is run by one person who lacks in emotional intelligence and gets caught up in petty gossip.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a more solid and sound HR department. Also, invest in new technologies.
